Logodesign für das Forschungsprojekt „In Global Transit“ am GHI Washington
Für das am German Historical Institut (GHI) angesiedelte Forschungsprojekt „In Global Transit“ konnte grafikbuero ein Projektlogo entwickeln.
Im Mittelpunkt der Forschung stehen die Migrationsgeschichten von Menschen und deren nicht-lineare Verläufe. Untersucht werden soll der Zustand des Dazwischen-Seins, des Kommen und Gehens und der Transitsituationen, in denen sich Menschen während ihrer Migration befinden.
Das Logo findet ein Bild für den Transitraum, seine Schranken und Beschränkungen und eine damit einhergehende Orientierungslosigkeit. Die Perspektive im Logo kippt je nach Betrachtungsfokus. Gleichzeitig bilden die farbigen Flächen im Logo zwei Pfeile, die voneinander weg laufen, was das Dazwischen-Sein symbolisiert.
Farblich wurden die im neuen Corporate Design definierten Farbtöne verwendet.

The research focuses on the migration stories of people and their non-linear courses. The state of being in between, of coming and going and the transit situations in which people find themselves during their migration are to be investigated.
The logo finds an image for the transit space, its barriers and restrictions and an accompanying disorientation. The perspective in the logo tilts depending on the viewing focus. At the same time, the colored areas in the logo form two arrows running away from each other, symbolizing being in between.
In terms of color, the hues defined in the new corporate design were used.
