Logodesign für das Forschungsprojekt „AtlanticExiles“
Für das ERC-Forschungsprojekt „AtlanticExiles“ an der Ruhr-Universität Duisburg Essen konzipierte und gestaltete Grafikbuero ein Logo. Der Forschungsbereich untersucht Flüchtlingsströme im atlantischen Raum im späten 18. und frühen 19. Jahrhundert.
Der Forschungsansatz des Projekts ist innovativ, was sich im Logo durch eine klare, zeitlose Formsprache widerspiegelt. Farblich greift das Logo die Farben vieler revolutionärer Staatsgründungen in den Amerikas in dieser Zeit auf. Gestalterisch stellt sich das E im Signet sowie im Schriftzug Exil in den Hintergrund, was sinnbildlich für den Zustand des Exils steht, der vom Verschwinden und von Transformationen bestimmt ist.
Grafikbuero conceived and designed a logo for the ERC research project “AtlanticExiles” at Ruhr University Duisburg Essen. The research area investigates refugee flows in the Central American region in the late 18th and early 19th century.
The research approach of the project is innovative, which is reflected in the logo by a clear, timeless design language. In terms of color, the logo picks up the colors of many revolutionary state foundations in the Americas during this period. In terms of design, the E in the signet and the word exile are placed in the background, symbolizing the state of exile, which is determined by disappearance and transformation.
