Konzept und Design für die Abschlusstagung 2024 des SFB 980 „Episteme in Bewegung“
Nach insgesamt 12 Jahren hat der SFB „Episteme in Bewegung“ seine maximale Förderdauer erreicht und wird im Sommer 2024 seine Arbeit einstellen.
Es war mir eine große Freude, nach der langjährigen Zusammenarbeit auch die grafische Gestaltung der Abschlusstagung übernehmen zu dürfen.
In unserer 12jährigen Zusammenarbeit entstanden unter anderem das Logo des SFBs, diverse Poster und Flyer sowie das Interface des digitalen Logbuchs.
Das Design für die Abschlusstagung sollte Elemente des Katalanischen Weltatlas aufgreifen, da dieser Atlas das Erscheinungsbild des SFB von Beginn an geprägt hat und sich natürlich auch auf der Abschlusstagung wiederfinden sollte.
Im Gestaltungsprozess ergab sich eine Kombination aus abstrahierten Elementen des Atlas mit dem Logo, das ebenfalls verfremdet und verändert wurde.
So schloss sich gewissermaßen der gestalterische Kreis vom Anfang zum Ende dieses Forschungsverbundes.

After a total of 12 years, the CRC ‘Episteme in Motion’ has reached its maximum funding period and will cease its work in summer 2024.
It was a great pleasure for me to take over the graphic design of the final conference after many years of collaboration.
During our 12-year collaboration, we created the SFB logo, various posters and flyers as well as the interface of the digital logbook.
The design for the final conference was to incorporate elements of the Catalan World Atlas, as this atlas has characterised the SFB’s appearance from the very beginning and should of course also be reflected at the final conference.
The design process resulted in a combination of abstracted elements of the atlas with the logo, which was also alienated and changed.
In this way, the design circle from the beginning to the end of this research network was closed, so to speak.
